After reading the article in the Brownsville Herald about the new Barcelona Nights, I figured the restaurant would be packed with individuals also wanting to try the food. I was not surprised when arriving on Wednesday September 16, 2009 at noon to a full restaurant with only a few tables available. Owner Daniel Lenz was working feverishly waiting tables, getting orders ready in the kitchen along side chef Frank Baylor. Daniel Lenz was glad that we read the article and welcomed us as he took our order. A large pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, and canadian bacon was brought to our table hot and delicious. The cheese melted along side the other toppings made the twenty-five minute wait worth it. The pizza sauce was not to rich and the crust was nicely browned along with the toppings. Great food and a reasonable price. Wish Daniel and Frank the best of luck with the restaurant. When you do go to Barcelona Nights prepare for a wait but rejoice in the great taste.
