Boot Company Bar & Grill

Located at the corner of Hidalgo Ave. and Eighth St. in Raymondville is Boot Co. Bar & Grill. The history of the building is familiar to most around the area but here is a quick summary for those who don't know.
The name Boot Co. is kept from the original business, Rio Boot Company, opened by boot maker Abraham Rios in 1925. The unmatched artistry of his profession caught the attention of royalty and politically elite. President Ronald Reagan, President Truman, King Hussein of Jordan and other prominent leaders ordered boots from this Raymondville business and made Abraham Rios a world class boot maker. His expert boot making sadly came to an end shortly after his death in 1978.
Currently the building is back in business as the Boot Co. Bar & Grill which serves as a popular Raymondville eatery owned by Cruz & Sonya Tijerina. Also, located inside is the Boot Co. Baskets and Gifts. The shop is brimming with beautiful fashion jewelry, purses, candles and western gifts.
